Crédit Agricole Transitions & Énergies signs purchase option with EDP Renewables for the acquisition of 12 wind farms in France and Belgium, through its CA Energies & Territoires fund, managed by Amundi Transition Energétique.

Once the disposal agreement is finalised, Crédit Agricole Transitions & Énergies (CA T&E), alongside the CA Transition Energétique Normandie – Pays de Loire and CAREst Transition Energétique* funds, will complete the acquisition of these 12 wind farms from EDP Renewables in the coming months.

Located across France (11 wind farms) and Belgium (1 farm), these onshore wind farms have a
combined installed capacity of 121 MW and produce 273 GWh of electricity annually, the equivalent of the average annual consumption of 54,600 households.

“This investment by our Crédit Agricole Énergies & Territoires fund reflects our commitment to
accelerating the roll-out of low-carbon energy as close to local communities as possible. It will
complement our initial investments and is fully aligned with our target of reaching 2 GW of
installed capacity by 2028”
, said Laurent Perno, Director of Renewable Energy Production and
Marketing at Crédit Agricole Transitions & Énergies.

The transaction has been structured by the investment team at Amundi Transition Energétique (ATE), which will continue to support CA T&E by managing these assets through the CAET fund. The signing of the disposal agreement is subject to the consultation of EDP Renewables’ employee representative bodies.
