Created in 2017, Selfee’s mission is to supply renewable electricity via direct distribution to local authorities and multi-site consumers at a price set locally.
It offers a Regional Electricity Self-Consumption solution: part of the energy is produced directly at (or near) the point of consumption, with the remainder coming from other renewable energy sources. Its approach, based on additionality, encourages local authorities to source their energy directly from local producers. This model not only promotes a more local and greener energy supply, but also helps new renewable energy facilities to emerge in the regions, thereby strengthening their energy independence.
Selfee is now an electricity market operator, acting as a supplier, aggregator, load balancer and wholesale market player.
In March 2023, the Crédit Agricole Group became the majority shareholder.
