Negative Electricity Prices: The calm before the Storm?

In its summer 2025 edition, the Journal de l’Éolien features an article on episodes of negative electricity prices, which are becoming increasingly frequent due to high renewable production at certain times of the year. While these price drops have not yet weakened wind farm financing models, their increasing frequency could call into question certain economic balances, particularly if support mechanisms change.
