Laurent Cazelles began his career at CCF in the Capital Markets department before joining the Financial Operations department of Caisse nationale de Crédit Agricole (CNCA) in 1994.
In 1997, he joined the Finance department of Etablissement Public Réseau Ferré de France, where he was responsible for refinancing and debt management for the owner of the French railway infrastructure.
In 2001, he joined the Finance department of Predica, the life insurance subsidiary of Crédit Agricole Assurances, and became Chief Investment Officer and Head Financial Management in 2005. In 2008, he was appointed Head of Finance and Commitments and Head of Marketing of Crédit Agricole Centre-Loire. In 2012, he joined Crédit Agricole Anjou Maine as Deputy General Manager of Crédit Agricole Anjou Maine, then, in 2017, of Crédit Agricole Toulouse. In 2019, he took over as Chief Executive Officer of Crédit Agricole Consumer Finance France.
He became Chief Executive Officer of Crédit Agricole de Lorraine in 2020.
A graduate of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications de Bretagne, with a master’s degree in international finance from HEC and a postgraduate diploma in international taxation, Laurent Cazelles joined Crédit Agricole Group in 1994.
